The winner of the 3rd edition has been announced!

The winning design

About four months after the launch of our competition, the moment had finally arrived: the jury’s verdict at the closing event of the SBE Student Challenge. Each group presented their design one by one, and the jury selected the winners.

Congratulations to Cas Neels, Frédéric Berges, and Kobe Gielen!
Of course, we also want to sincerely thank the other #studentsatplay for their participation, dedication, and motivation.

The winning design was not chosen lightly. The jury appreciated how the team presented a complete narrative with their design. They used the brief as a starting point to create a concept that positively transforms the surrounding area. The bridge design itself remains subtle, with a nod to the steel truss elements so characteristic of the ship lifts along this UNESCO-protected canal.
