Students launched for the 4th edition

In mid-November, we welcomed a group of 20 students who, despite a nationwide train strike, showed their determination by coming to the SBE office in Sint-Niklaas for the inaugural workshop day of the fourth edition of the SBE Student Challenge.

With great enthusiasm, the #studentsatplay got to work on their new challenge: a design exercise inspired by an SBE project around the viewpoint ‘Le Jambon de la Semois’ in Vresse-sur-Semois. Click here for more information about this project.

Throughout the day, students immersed themselves in the assignment, attended two inspiring lectures on the topic, and had valuable networking opportunities with our #expertsatplay. The morning session featured a presentation on how SBE approaches projects from a landscape perspective, while the afternoon session explored the effective use of visuals as a design tool.

Now that the foundation has been set, the students have the exciting task of continuing their assignment during the upcoming two workshop days on February 22 and March 23, 2024. Undoubtedly, it was a day marked by success!
