And we kicked-off in Vilvoorde...
Early in the morning, the g#studentsatplay gathered at Vilvoorde station, grabbed their bikes and cycled to the site hut near the iconic ๐ฉ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐๐ฐ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ป ๐ฉ๐ถ๐น๐๐ผ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ฒ, for a day full of engineering & design inspiration right in the heart of the action.
After a warm welcome the group kicked off with an They explored the site up close, discussed technical & spatial constraints and got insights straight from the experts.
In the afternoon, it was time to roll up the sleeves: the students worked in teams, analyzed the location and ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ถ๐ฟ ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฟ๐๐ ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ & potential alignments for the new cycling connections.
The day wrapped up with ๐บ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ-๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐, where each group shared their first concepts and the creativity didnโt disappoint! ๐จ
A big thank-you to Frรฉdรฉric Rasier, Nick Veirman, Frederik Depoortere & Nele Tierens who helped make this first workshop such a success: from sharing fascinating details about the ongoing works at the viaduct to guiding each team and bringing fresh perspectives & energy to the table.
#teamSBE already looking forward to ๐ช๐ผ๐ฟ๐ธ๐๐ต๐ผ๐ฝ ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ฒ๐ฏ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ, where the ideas will take their next big leap from concept to design! ๐
